Get to Know me, stories, rants and a day in the life...

Hello there! I'm going to start by saying, Brace yourself. This is my blog and it isn't for the faint of heart. There will be swearing, there will be ranting and most of all hilarity, usually people laughing at my expense. I'm not one for shying away from the truth so this is going to be glaringly brutal honesty and a whole load of crazy! Just consider this the toilet of your favourite night club and me the girl telling you to clear up that mascara, get on that dance floor and dance like everyone is watching! I want this to be somewhere we can laugh, support each other and just cause literary chaos. I'm not perfect and if you think you are I think you're in the wrong place. I know some things aren't for some people so if this isn't your cup of tea feel free to look elsewhere, no hard feelings, you do you. I get told I'm not normal, explain to me normal and I think you will be describing average, and that just isn't something I aspire to be. My name is Gem, and welcome to my crazy life.

For those who don't know I'm from Liverpool, England, that's right, for anyone from the other side of the pond, we don't ALL sound like the queen.

For the longest time now I have been told to write a book, write a blog, do a channel, wear a go pro (which I may well do) but for now this can be our little chat place. It's a place basically for me to rant, to share my stories and experiences, to show case what I'm all about and it's somewhere I hope people will come to like stopping by to put a smile on their face. The world can be a pretty dull place, so why don't we lighten it up a bit the best way I know how... by laughing at my unfortunate, crazy little life. People seem to find it entertaining so I thought why not entertain some more people. It might drive me into early insanity but the mad hatter was always happy right?!

In case you don't believe me here are a few little facts about me...

So I've been called the Mersey mermaid by random people before, and it makes sense coupled with the fact I have red hair and almost got killed by an octopus when I was 4 in a rock pool in Tenerife, this caused my fear of them tentacled sea demons. Never trust anything with more limbs than necessary, 4 at max.

I get chased by spiders - again 8 limbs, not necessary. My best friend will vouch for me on this one. I have also been bitten by 2, wouldn't mind but the first I saw on my bathroom wall and left it, woke up to it on my cover and an arm that felt like it was on fire, one trip to a&e and a bandage later, that's the last time I play Ghandi!

I love random facts, did you know cherophobia is the irrational fear of fun or happiness - something I'm sure a few of my old bosses have 🙄.

I'm a natural redhead.

I have wanted a pet duck for longer than I can remember them fuzzy little balls of cuteness 🤗.

I study krav maga and love it!

When I was 9 I wrote a letter to MI5 asking to be a spy kid under the influence of my dad, giving me the address for their HQ which were probably made up.

I love Disney, funnily enough I love horrors too. It's ironic if you know the origins of some of the most popular Disney films.

I meditate to help my head because I am a massive over thinker, it helps even for the smallest amount of time.

And I nap every single day and have since I was born, I love it so much that when I was in primary school I had to be taken to a neurologist to get tested for epilepsy and narcolepsy. I had that hat with all the wires on and everything, all because I used to curl up into a ball in the playground every play time for a little sleep. The doctors conclusion I hear none of you ask - either she wants attention or she just wants to sleep. And this has never changed I love a nap, a good nap and a cup of tea fix almost everything!

And I attract more unnecessary crazy than anyone I have ever met, which has lead me to this. Please stick around, and if you see something you like, pipe up and join in :).
